Land Rover revealed the final piece of its ‘Inspired by Britain’ jigsaw at the Montreal Auto Show, Canada. The Evoque NW8 is the third in a series of special edition models inspired by iconic British landmarks.
The Range Rover Evoque NW8 takes its inspiration from the postcode in North West London, UK, that has been at the heart of the city’s creative scene since the Sixties and is home to the world famous Abbey Road. It is based on the Dynamic model and complements the existing SW1 Monochrome and SW1 Colour special editions.
After the successful conversion kits CLR R, CLR SR and CLR RS for the Range Rover vehicles, LUMMA Design presents another car body styling kit for the current type LG model. With the new CLR R GT Evo body kit, the traditional refiners wrap the English high-level off-road vehicle into an extroverted broad construction outfit, once again supporting their claim to be the tuners with the probably largest aerodynamics range for Range Rover models. They are far from having reached the end of their developments: this year’s expansion of the design department means a continuous increase in Swabian Winterlingen. The success speaks for itself and Horst Lumma once again has found the right moment to expand his SUV design programme.
Since LUMMA Design already offers successful car body kits for the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport in many different versions – from unobtrusive to noticeable – the traditional refiners from Baden-Württemberg Winterlingen are now stepping things up a notch: LUMMA Design is the first tuner to offer a broad-build body kit for the Range Rover long version type LWB (Long Wheelbase), with a wheelbase elongated by 20 centimetres as compared to the “normal” Range Rover.
Land Rover celebrates the best of British with new personalisation options and technology for the Range Rover Evoque. The new models provide additional personalisation opportunities for Evoque customers globally.
The Range Rover Sport SVR is set to make its global debut at Pebble Beach on 14 August. The fastest, most powerful Land Rover ever produced is the first model to wear the SVR designation being adopted by future Land Rover and Jaguar high-performance models.
The Range Rover Sport SVR accelerates from 0-60mph in just 4.5 seconds. A top speed electronically limited to 162mph and a Nürburgring Nordschleife lap time of 8 minutes 14 seconds – one of the fastest times ever recorded by a production SUV – underline its performance credentials.
Range Rover Evoque is unmistakable vehicle, which has become a true eye-catcher in the hands of LARTE Design. The Moscow-based has enhanced the model with first-class materials such as PU RIM plastics and stainless steel.
The design vision of LARTE for this Evoque is in the direction of a street racer, which finds its expression in the black-and-red paintwork. The new body kit consists of honeycomb grille and the massive air intake in the front apron and gives the SUV a sportier appearance.
Extensive development and testing has resulted in the creation of a supercharger kit which exacerbates the amount of power to approximately 138hp (101KW) and 120Nm torque when compared to the existing serial engine.
The STARTECH REFINEMENT program includes a dynamically styled aerodynamic-enhancement kit, 22-inch one-piece and multi-piece STARTECH Monostar wheels, a ride-height lowering, a stainless-steel sport exhaust system and even a completely redesigned interior. Owners of the turbodiesel version can opt for the STARTECH PowerXtra SD30 S performance kit, which boosts power output of the 3.0 SDV6 turbodiesel model of the Range Rover Sport by 22 kW / 31 hp while bumping peak torque by 80 Nm.
