2015 Mitsubishi Mirage has an estimated EPA fuel mileage rating of up to 37 mpg city/44 mpg highway. This model is the most fuel efficient non-hybrid gasoline vehicle which is currently sold in America. For the new model year Mitsubishi is adding to the Mirage wide range of standard equipment: new chrome interior trim accents for the audio and HVAC panels, rear-mounted short pole antenna, new interior seat fabric and side view mirrors with turn indicators.
There are two trim levels – a base one, Mirage DE and the upscale Mirage ES. DE adds 4 speaker 140-watt AM/FM/CD/MP3 audio system with USB input, automatic climate control, upscale-looking rich high-gloss piano black center console trim, stylish rear spoiler, keyless entry with panic alarm, tilt steering, power windows with driver’s side auto-up/down, variable intermittent wipers, convenient split folding rear seat, rear seat heater ducts, body-colored power side mirrors, door handles and tailgate handle.

This is a hybrid concept packed with an experience gained through motorsports. The company has a spectacular history in races like the Dakar Rally and World Rally Championships (WRC). In the development of this special concept model, Mitsubishi introduced their design team, Advanced Vehicle Research and Development Group, and Aerodynamic Engineering Development Group into this project in the same process they would normally follow to plan and develop real motorsports vehicles.
The exterior styling of the car is based on the Mitsubishi Concept XR-PHEV, which was shown at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show. However, it adds know-how gained from years of motorsports experience into every detail.

The Mitsubishi Lancer saw the light of day in the lower middle class in 1973. Almost precisely 5.000 units were produced in 1992 for the car or motorsport designed Mitsubishi Lancer Evo(lution) I, also the first stage of development with 250 HP. Due to an extremely large number of rally successes in the meantime nine (!) further development stages have joined them. Thus, the Evo X, which will be discussed here, goes in the race, with 295 series-HP from displacement of two litres.
Ever since it started research and development on electro-mobility back in 1966, today’s Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) always believed that electric vehicles (EV) would eventually become long-term core products – a view vindicated by recent concerns over global warming.
Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) announced today that it will launch the all-new Mirage global compact car at dealerships throughout Japan on August 31, 2012 at an MSRP ranging from ¥998,000 to ¥1,288,000.
A Fuel-efficient and Affordable Compact for Everyone
The new Mirage is a global compact car developed on the concepts of high fuel efficiency, affordable and compact (easy to drive), the ideal characteristics sought in a compact, and which meets the needs both emerging countries as an entry-level car as well as advanced markets as an “eco-car.” Following its debut in Thailand where the model is being produced, and rollouts in ASEAN countries and Japan, the Mirage will then be successively rolled out in Europe, Australia and other regions. The Mirage is the most fuel-efficient “eco-car” in Thailand; exceeding the requirements for the Thai government’s “eco-car” classification which allows tax subsidies. This achievement has been well received by the Thai people; over 33,000 orders have already been received for the Mirage in Thailand as of the end of July.
