Citroen DS3 and DS 3 Cabrio are getting upgraded via new and unique and high-tech light signature. The two models are also receiving other upgrades, including the all-new Active City Brake technology, new Euro6-compliant engines and new personalisation options. DS 3 features styling, performance and customisation which made it a real automotive icon. Since launch it has been sold in almost 300,000 units.
The new high-tech hypnotic gaze of the both DS 3 models is due to the adoption of new headlights. They combine LED and Xenon technologies with new sequential indicators, which is a world first. The new headlights provide the DS 3 with even greater visibility in both low- and high-beam positions, with lighting of exceptional quality that is also restful on the eye.
Citroen DS 5LS R concept will make an official debut at the Beijing Motor Show later this month. The car combines top-level performance with luxury styling, and emphasizes the dynamic character of the production version. The concept vehicle boasts a high performance 1.6-litre turbo petrol engine which generates 300 hp (221 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque. It has a lowered chassis by 15mm, wider front tracks and a sequential gearbox, controlled by paddles behind the steering wheel.
In addition, the French company has applied high-precision development to the chassis, brakes and suspension. It has also highlighted the performance of the car visually, through the extensive use of real carbon fibre components.
Citroën UK and Benefit Cosmetics have collaborated on a one-off version of Citroën’s DS3. Called DS3 by Benefit, the colourful model is an exploration of ideas and themes in a unique concept form, which marks the start of a new partnership between the two brands.
The Citroën DS3 concept will premiere at Clothes Show Live at Birmingham NEC (6-10 December), for which Citroën is a main sponsor.
