2014 Citroen DS3 and DS3 Cabrio Facelift

Citroen DS3 and DS 3 Cabrio are getting upgraded via new and unique and high-tech light signature. The two models are also receiving other upgrades, including the all-new Active City Brake technology, new Euro6-compliant engines and new personalisation options. DS 3 features styling, performance and customisation which made it a real automotive icon. Since launch it has been sold in almost 300,000 units.

The new high-tech hypnotic gaze of the both DS 3 models is due to the adoption of new headlights. They combine LED and Xenon technologies with new sequential indicators, which is a world first. The new headlights provide the DS 3 with even greater visibility in both low- and high-beam positions, with lighting of exceptional quality that is also restful on the eye.

Precisely, three LED modules and a Xenon module are used to create this powerful, wide, uniform beam. In addition, the headlights also reduce energy consumption by 35% in low-beam mode and by 75% in high-beam. They are capable of a standard life time of over 20,000 hours, which means that the LEDs last twenty times longer than halogen lights.

As a matter of fact, the new headlights were inspired by the Numéro 9 and Wild Rubis concept cars. They feature independent modules styled to resemble diamonds in their setting. The DS 3 has also been fitted with innovative sequential indicators.

The new light signature is completed by LED DRLs in the front air intakes. The DS3 models also come equipped with 3D-effect LED rear lights. And as a final touch of sophistication, the 3D light features a chrome-finish DS logo in a black embossed DS setting. The cars also boast an avant-garde light signature that is high-performance and magically styled.
