Isuzu UK recorded 838 sales of the Isuzu D-Max pick-up during the first quarter of 2022, a notable 42.8% up on the same period last year, with March proving to be another strong month for the brand, ending 54.4% up on the previous year sales.
This performance from Isuzu UK is particularly impressive, as the LCV and pick-up markets overall continue to be very challenging. The pick-up market was down 48.4% in March with 4,457 registrations and the year to date is also down 40.6% at 7,661 registrations, according to the latest figures published by the SMMT.
The Award-Winning D-Max has moved the Isuzu brand into new sectors of the pick-up market, with the brand increasing sales of double-cab automatic versions by 57.9% year to date over the same period in 2021, with the top of the range V-Cross proving to be the brand’s bestseller.
Alan Able, Brand Director, Isuzu UK said “Our sales performance in the first quarter of this year has been very encouraging, especially with such difficult trading conditions for us all. To have a sales increase year on year, with the market significantly down shows just how strong the customer demand continues to be for the Isuzu D-Max.”
The Isuzu D-Max, which starts from £21,999 CVOTR provides class-leading safety standards and achieved the maximum five-star safety rating in the tough new Euro NCAP test. This UK first for a pick-up is in part due to the new Advanced Driver Assist Systems (ADAS) fitted as standard across the range. As part of the ADAS functions, every Isuzu D-Max features Forward Collision Warning, Traffic Sign Recognition, Manual & Intelligent Speed Limiter, along with Lane Departure Warning and Autonomous Emergency Braking.
A five-year / 125,000-mile warranty and five-year roadside assistance are also provided for further peace of mind and with a 3.5-tonne maximum towing capacity and 1-tonne payload, the D-Max is the smartest, strongest, and safest Isuzu pick-up of all time.
