2015 Mercedes-Benz CLS and CLS Shooting Brake have a new look and are packed with new technology as standard. They deliver lower emissions and are also the fastest and most efficient generation of CLS yet. The range stars CLS 220 BlueTEC, which is powered by a 2.1-litre diesel engine, which generates 177 hp (130 kW) and 129 g/km of CO2. The second diesel model is the six-cylinder 350 BlueTEC that producces 258 hp (190 kW) and emitting 142 g/km of CO2. The innovation here is that this engine is linked to a nine-speed gearbox as standard.
Furthermore, the CLS 400 Coupe, powered by the V6 powerplant, delivers 333 hp (245 kW). At the top of the range stands the mighty CLS 63 AMG S. It offers 585 hp (430 kW) and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque. It is equipped with a limited slip differential as standard, and is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in only 4.1-seconds.
The significant upgrades in the range are COMAND Online, heated front seats and the ambient lighting system. They are all fitted as standard. Two option packs are available: Premium Pack, comprising an electric sunroof, a seat memory package, a reversing camera and split/folding seats, as well as the Premium Plus Pack, adding a Harman Kardon sound system and Keyless Go over the previous pack. The equipment line-up on the CLS 63 AMG S include an electric sunroof, Keyless Go, the ambient lighting system, a Harmon Kardon sound system, a reversing camera, split folding rear seats and a powered tailgate being.
On every CLS the owners will find an eight-inch tablet-style screen fitted as standard. LED Multibeam headlights are also fitted to the new CLS. 2015 Mercedes-Benz CLS Coupe and CLS Shooting Brake will be available to order from July with the first deliveries in September.
