In a repeat of their double success last year, the Volvo XC40 and XC60 have again collected class honours in the Company Car Today CCT100 Awards.
For the XC40, it is the fourth year in succession that the model has won the Premium Crossover title. As in 2021, the mid-size XC60 collected the award for Premium SUV, too. The results reflect the impressive market performance of Volvo SUVs – the XC40 now firmly established as the UK’s best-selling car in its class.
For fleet and business motorists, Volvo’s expansion of its low- and zero-emission powertrain options adds an extra dimension of appeal, securing low benefit-in-kind company car tax ratings and total cost of ownership figures, in addition to the benefits of efficiency and strong environmental performance.
Announcing the results, Paul Barker, Company Car Today Editor, said: “The two CCT100 awards for Volvo show the class-leading strengths of its SUVs. Both the XC40 and XC60 scored well for their cabin quality, design, comfortable driving experience and running costs. The variety of plug-in powertrains gives the modern company car driver some attractive choices.”
Rob Morris, Volvo Car UK’s Head of Fleet and Remarketing, said: “Strong environmental performance is now established as a key requirement for fleet and business customers in the premium market, but not at the expense of quality, safety, reliability and desirability. These awards are much appreciated and signal how our growing range of Recharge plug-in hybrid and pure electric cars are consolidating their position as the ideal choice for the UK’s business motorists and fleet operators.”
The CCT100 is compiled by Company Car Today as a list of 100 cars that meet the requirements of the UK’s business users. The top five models in each category are assessed against key factors including emissions, price, running costs, company car tax, practicality, desirability, breadth of offering and the driving experience. The top-ranked models from each category are honoured as the Company Car Today CCT100 Award winners.
