The new model has additional features worth about £5,000 compared with the existing Touareg R-line Tech, but costs just £1,720 (RRP) more. These extras include:

- 30-colour ambient interior lighting

- Heated windscreen
Two 3.0 TDI engines are available, offering a powerful 231 PS and 286 PS respectively, along with all the luxurious and useful features already in the R-line Tech. These include a heated leather-wrapped multi-function sports steering wheel with shift paddles, 15-inch Innovision cockpit with active info display, and memory-function exterior mirrors.
The Touareg is the luxury flagship of Volkswagen’s extensive SUV line-up, with exceptionally high levels of refinement and technology. The new Tech Plus model is available now for £64,520 with the 3.0 TDI 231 PS engine, and £67,200 (both prices RRP, on-the-road) with the 3.0 TDI 286 PS engine.
