The Jaguar C-X75 supercar, featured in the new James Bond adventure SPECTRE, will make its public debut in London at the 800th Lord Mayor‘s Show this weekend.
The electric hybrid concept car, which was created by Jaguar Land Rover’s Special Vehicle Operations team in collaboration with development partner Williams Advanced Engineering, will be driven by SPECTRE stunt driver Martin Ivanov on 14th November as part of the annual two-mile parade.
Martin Ivanov said: “I’m really looking forward to getting back behind the wheel of the Jaguar C-X75. It was a memorable experience driving this car during filming in Rome, I’m looking forward to seeing the reactions of the British public.”
SPECTRE, the 24th James Bond film, from Albert R. Broccoli’s EON Productions, Metro-Goldwyn Mayer Studios and Sony Pictures Entertainment, sees the Jaguar C-X75 driven by Hinx in the movie’s high speed car chase.
The bespoke car will also be accompanied by the new Jaguar XE sports saloon, a Jaguar F-TYPE and two bespoke Range Rovers. The appearance marks the start of Jaguar Land Rover’s partnership with HMS Queen Elizabeth, the Royal Navy’s future aircraft carrier and flagship.
Captain Simon Petitt, Senior Naval Officer of the Royal Navy’s future flagship, which is being built at Rosyth in Scotland, said: “I am delighted that Jaguar Land Rover is supporting HMS Queen Elizabeth and I look forward to a long and fruitful association.”
HMS Queen Elizabeth and HMS Prince of Wales aircraft carriers will be the biggest and most powerful warships ever constructed for the Royal Navy. They will be utilised by all three sectors of the UK Armed Forces and will provide eight acres of sovereign territory which can be deployed around the world. Both ships will be versatile enough to be used for operations ranging from supporting war efforts to providing humanitarian aid and disaster relief.
