Swedish electric performance brand Polestar, will provide the course car for Bicester Heritage’s ten-year anniversary event, Flywheel, on the 17th and 18th of June. The EV brand opened its UK head office at Bicester Heritage in December 2022, joining the established location and 50 specialist businesses that celebrate motion on the former RAF Bomber Base.
The Polestar 2 BST edition 270 will provide a unique course car, bringing fully electric performance to Bicester’s Experience and Demonstration track. The special edition Polestar leverages decades of tuning experience to deliver the brand’s most dynamic electric driver’s car yet and is based on the Polestar 2 Long range dual motor. Only 270 examples have been made available globally with 40 in the UK.
The BST offers supercar performance to what is a world-leading, award-winning electric car. An impressive 476hp powers the BST from 0-60mph in just 4.4 seconds and features adjustable Öhlins dampers and a raft of other chassis enhancements ideal for circuit driving.
Flywheel is a celebration of wings, wheels and motion for the whole family to enjoy, with over 100 cars expected to take to the track for celebratory laps over the course of the weekend.
The partnership celebrates the symbiosis between the classic car industry and future mobility, a nod to Bicester’s masterplan development that will establish the location as the past, present and future of motion in the UK.
