Isuzu UK maintains sales volumes despite challenging market

Isuzu UK recorded a 50.9% increase in registrations of the Isuzu D-Max pick-up in September 2022 compared to September 2021 and are 0.94% up on a year-to-date basis, despite the very challenging market conditions and vehicle production restrictions.

This performance from Isuzu UK and its dedicated dealer network is particularly impressive as the LCV and pick-up markets overall continue to be very tough. The pick-up market was down 13.7% in September with 3,863 registrations and year-to-date sales down 36.8% at 21,661 registrations, according to the latest figures published by the SMMT.

Alan Able, Brand Director, Isuzu UK said “Our sales performance this year has been very encouraging, especially with such prolonged tough trading conditions for us all. To maintain our volume of sales with the market significantly down shows just how strong the customer demand continues to be for the Award-Winning Isuzu D-Max range.”

He continued “Although not impacted as severely as many other manufacturers, we are still working tirelessly with the vehicle production facility in Thailand to minimise customer waiting times and we will provide as much information to dealers as we can to ensure our customers are always on the fastest route possible to a new Isuzu D-Max.”

The Isuzu D-Max range, which starts from £23,149 CVOTR, provides class-leading safety standards and achieved the maximum five-star safety rating in the tough new Euro NCAP test. This UK first for a pick-up is in part due to the new Advanced Driver Assist Systems (ADAS) fitted as standard across the range. As part of the ADAS functions, every Isuzu D-Max features Forward Collision Warning, Traffic Sign Recognition, Manual & Intelligent Speed Limiter, along with Lane Departure Warning and Autonomous Emergency Braking, making it the safest choice for both retail and fleet purchasers.

A five-year / 125,000-mile warranty and five-year roadside assistance are also provided for further peace of mind and with a 3.5-tonne maximum towing capacity and 1-tonne payload, the Isuzu D-Max is the smartest, strongest, and safest Isuzu pick-up of all time.
