According to James Selwa, CEO of Maserati North America, Maserati dealerships in the U.S. are getting ready to relaucnh the Alfa Romeo brand by 2009. Selwa will be in charge of Alfa Romeo’s return to the U.S. which should be complete by 2010.
Until that relaunch is complete, select Maserati dealerships will start selling the 100 units of the 8C Competizione that are headed to our highways. A total of four Alfa cars are headed to U.S. shores.

8C Competizione: On July 30th, Selwa unveiled the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione for the North American market at the Meadow Brook Concours d’Elegance. The 8C, which is powered by a 4.7 liter V8 engine producing 450 horsepower, will cost somewhere higher than $200,000. Sales will begin mid-2008.
159: A sporty sedan available in front- or all-wheel drive is will come to the U.S. by late 2009 or early 2010.
Brea: A 2+2 coupe is also expected in late 2009 or early 2010.
Spider: A two-seater that uses a shortened Brea platform will use the same engines as the Brea. It will launch in the U.S. at the same time as the Bera.
