Closely affiliated to BMW, Alpina will use their 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder twin-scroll single turbo N55 engine as a base but will rebuild and re-engineer it for more power and torque via the addition of a twin-turbo system. Output will reportedly be approximately 420HP (309 kW) – slightly higher than the 400HP (294 kW) of the outgoing model.
The Alpina B3 BiTurbo is expected to have its media release at the end of this year followed by a public debut in Geneva next year.
