Alfa leads sales growth in 2007

Signalling the success of a planned turnaround for the evocative Alfa Romeo marque, new figures from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders reveal that Alfa Romeo has posted the single biggest percentage increase in UK sales by any mainstream manufacturer.

Up by 40 percent year-on-year, the Alfa Romeo brand has been boosted by stunning new product – including the award winning Alfa Spider and Alfa Brera – along with a concentrated focus on its dealer network, customer satisfaction and residual values.

At the cornerstone of the Alfa Romeo experience is a handpicked prestige dealer network that has a focus on delivering a quality product and bespoke aftersales support. The company has now appointed a dedicated fleet team which has tripled in size over the last 12 months.

UK Managing Director of Alfa Romeo, Christopher Nicoll, says: “Across the country, Alfa Romeo dealers are delivering a customer experience befitting the brand, and customers are growing in confidence and satisfaction with the marque. This year will be a period of consolidation as we prepare the groundwork for the eagerly anticipated new small Alfa Romeo in 2009.”

From January 2008, deliveries will start on 41 Alfa 8C Competizione supercars destined for the British roads.
