Vauxhall remains the UK’s best-selling electric Light Commercial Vehicle (e-LCV) manufacturer, according to the latest new car and van registration figures published today by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT).
The November new car and van registration figures show Vauxhall’s Vivaro Electric is the UK’s best-selling e-LCV so far this year, with 496 registered in November, and 3,750 year-to-date. The success of the Vivaro Electric range has ensured Vauxhall remains the country’s best-selling e-LCV manufacturer year-to-date, with a 28.6% market share.
Vauxhall is one of the few manufacturers able to offer fleets and businesses and electric van across its model line-up. The Vivaro Electric is joined by the Combo Electric and Movano Electric. Vauxhall will be an electric-only manufacturer from 2028.
November also saw Vauxhall grow its Light Commercial Vehicle market share to 9.8% year-to-date, with the brand consolidating its number two market position in the UK.
James Taylor, Managing Director, Vauxhall, said: “Electric vans have seen tremendous growth this year, with the sector set to flourish even more in the coming years. With that in mind, it’s fantastic to see fleets and businesses choose Vauxhall when it comes to making the switch to electric with all the environmental, financial and experience benefits that brings”.
The Vivaro Electric has a long list of awards under its belt, including ‘Medium Van of the Year’ at the What Van? Awards 2022 and ‘Best Medium Electric Van’ at the Driving Electric Awards 2022. The Vivaro Electric was also voted ‘International Van of the Year 2021’, alongside multiple other top honours.
Available with a 50kWh or a 75kWh battery, the Vivaro Electric achieves a WLTP range of up to 205 miles from a single charge and comes with a maximum payload of up to 1,226kg.
