For many years, the OPC label stood at Opel as a counterpart to GTI, ST and Co. for enjoyable top models with a lot of power. In the compact Astra series, for example, there were three generations as OPC between 1999 and 2018. A copy from the sportiest Astra H has now been given a comprehensive complete tuning package by the specialists at JMS Fahrzeugteile.
The specialists from Walddorfhäslach installed a Bilstein B14 coilover kit in order to give the Astra in the two-door GTC dress, painted in the typical OPC blue, a more dynamic look. This enables the Hot Hatch to lower the vehicle by around 40 millimeters in addition to optimized roadholding at the front and rear and, in conjunction with the new wheel set, guarantees a very harmonious overall impression: These are Karizzma rims in a two-tone matt black polished finish from Barracuda Racing Wheels – consequently, the car in some of the pictures is also photographed together with the model Sabrina Doberstein, who acts as a brand ambassador for this label. The size of the Y-spoke wheels is 8.5×19 inches, the mounted tires measure 225 / 35R19.
The 241 hp and 320 Nm two-liter, four-cylinder turbo engine can now breathe even more freely thanks to a K&N sports air filter. On the outlet side, a JMS Racelook cat-back exhaust system made from three-inch pipes is connected by means of Friedrich Motorsport downpipes including metal catalytic converters. It is also produced by partner Friedrich Motorsport and gives the OPC a more sporty sound.
Last but not least, JMS installed ASM Autocontrol belts from Schroth for the subtle refinement of the interior and for a little more motorsport feeling.
