Volkswagen is now extending the product range of its super compact four-seater with a new special model. The jeans up! sparkles with exterior and interior highlights while offering a price advantage of up to 792 euros.
The exterior design of the jeans up! is defined by its 16-inch “triangle black” alloy wheels, exterior mirrors framed in chrome, sporty decals on its side panels and the “jeans” badge on the front doors. Smoked rear and side windows not only make a cool statement; they also protect against intense sunlight. Front fog lights with chrome surrounds provide for good visibility in all weather conditions. Other standard features include a multifunction display and a convenient cruise control system.
The interior makes a customised impression with seats in jeans look and leather-look borders in the colour “Sioux” (as well as pockets on the backs of the front seats). Also highlighting the car’s easy-going appearance are the “up!” badge on the door sill guards, cloth floor mats with coloured seams and chrome accents on the air vents, radio panel and in the instrument cluster. The steering wheel (with its high-end spoke), gear shift grip and parking brake grip are trimmed in dark split leather that perfectly accentuates the “Sioux” coloured stitching.
The jeans up! can be equipped with any of the engine-gearbox combinations that are offered in the up! Their power output ranges from 44 kW / 60 PS to 55 kW / 75 PS. The versions include the eco up! – the economising wonder with a natural gas drive (50 kW / 68 PS), which stands out with very economical fuel costs of just around three euros per 100 kilometres. The entry-level price for the jeans up! is 12,375 euros, and customers will realise a price advantage of 792 euros over a comparably equipped production model.
