Skoda Yeti Xtreme Concept is dynamic SUV which will have an official public reveal at the Woerthersee Festival in Austria that starts tomorrow. The model is equipped with an all-wheel drive and DSG, height-adjustable chassis and RS brakes taken from the Octavia. What is more, the concept includes rally car inspired interior that features aluminium floor panel, Recaro sports seats, carbon fibre trim, ‘Super Sports’ steering wheel, iPad cradle, fire extinguisher, off-road and rally equipment.
The sporty concept rally vehicle is based on the Yeti model. It is powered by a 1.8 TSI engine which is mated to a six-speed dual clutch transmission (DSG). The powerplant delivers 152 horsepower (112 kW) and torque of 250 Nm (185 lb-ft), achieved between 1,500 and 4,200 rpm. This allows Yeti Xtreme to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 9 seconds. The Vmax here is 192 km/h.
Other exterior features include matt-grey paint finish, 17-inch alloy wheels fitted with large off-road tires, tinted side windows, roof and wheel rim inserts in bright yellow-green, powerful bumper and a large air intake, along with LED headlights. At the sides one can see shaped wings and powerful door sills, while at the rear – a strong rear bumper and wide exhaust tailpipes.
The interior of the car continues the rally design theme. It features equipment typically associated with rally use: 4 individual Recaro sports seats with integrated four-point safety belts, “Super Sport” steering wheel with integrated gearshift paddles and entirely redesigned sporty centre console.
The inner door covers have been made entirely from carbon fibre, a sand shovel and a thermos flask have been integrated into holders fitted in the paneling. The floor panel is made from aluminium. Skoda is also offering an available Colour & Trim package. It adds carbon fibre elements and dark Alcantara surface with green colour accents, aluminium pedals and special door sill plates.
