The stunning 2013 SRT Viper joined by a heartfelt introduction would set the stage for a special auction that was destined to make history. Generous bidders and an enthusiastic crowd witnessed the sale of the first 2013 Viper at Barrett-Jackson Orange County. Proceeds from the final $300,000 bid will directly benefit the Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer. A number of generous bidders fought to become the proud owner of the first 2013 Viper, but just one would prevail. More importantly, a worthy cause will benefit from the sale of the first Viper.

“We’re really excited that the first 2013 SRT Viper went for $300,000, with the entire sum going straight to charity,” said Beth Paretta, director of operations for SRT brand and SRT Motorsports. “We couldn’t be happier to raise money for such an important cause.”

One generous bidder went home as the winner, but the true victors are the children and families that will benefit from the charitable donation. All proceeds from the auction will go directly to the Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer, a charity assisting the children and families affected by childhood cancer. The large sum will assist the foundation through its mission of erasing the effects of childhood cancer. The charity’s goal of improving the quality of life for patients and families is funded solely by the generous donations of others.

“We’re so grateful to have this opportunity with SRT and to have this Viper, which generated $300,000 for the Austin Hatcher Foundation,” said Dr. Jim Osborne, Chairman of the Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer. “We needed it and appreciate this great opportunity.”

The owner of the first 2013 Viper will take delivery of the first production car later this year once production commences. The car will bear the first VIN of the new production series.
