2014 Volkswagen Polo R WRC Improved For The New Racing Season

2014 Volkswagen Polo R WRC is being ready to challenge the 2014 FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) which starts from 14th of January. The car has been enhanced in terms of design and specifications. 

It develops 315 horsepower (232 kW) World Rally Car and its new striking design includes grey and blue stripes. In addition, the Polo R WRC has been made even more dynamic. The four wheel-drive powerhouse won ten of the 13 rallies last season, ensuring all three World Championship titles headed to Wolfsburg. 

The car has also been honed under the bonnet. Many individual components have been altered, besides the optimization of the chassis components. For instance there are new set-up variants for the drive train as well as the stability of the car has been put through extensive improvement. 

In addition, Volkswagen installed a new software version for the on-board electronics. Next to the pure performance, a major plus will be the reliability of the Polo R WRC. In 2013 World Championship rallies car did not suffer any engine damage. However, there was just one technical fault – a loose connection in the electronics.
